Adam Elliot is most known for winning the Oscar for his clay animated short film “Harvie Krumpet”. He’s back with his first full-length feature film, “Mary and Max” which is releasing in select theaters and on local cable on-demand this week.
Elliot spent over six years making “Mary & Max,” which has gone on to become Australia’s biggest animated film.
Elliot brought in set builders from “Star Wars” and post-production supervisors from Peter Jackson’s “King Kong” and is proud to say “everything you see on the screen is handmade - no special effects were done on a computer.”
He continued, “Rain is wire, fire is red cellophane, and all the water [in the film] is sexual lubricant!”
