Valerie Aikman-Smith, a food stylist who recently published her first book “Salt: Cooking with the World’s Favorite Seasoning,” has worked in the film industry for more than 15 years on movies including “Titantic,” “Ocean’s 11,” “Vanilla Sky” and many more. Aikman-Smith didn’t set out to be a food stylist, in fact she didn’t know the job existed. She loved to cook but knew she didn’t want to be a chef in a restaurant. When she discovered the job of food stylist while watching a special on cable, Aikman-Smith knew she found the perfect job. Aikman-Smith shares her path, her love of cooking and talks about her first film project, James Cameron’s “Titanic.”

Melissa Rosenberg is the person who took the words from the three Twilight books and turned them into stories for the screen.

MakingOf sat down with Rosenberg and talked about the process of using the rich material in the books to write the screenplays, collaborating with director Chris Weiz, and her virtual script re-writing process on Eclipse.

The REGULARITY Is Near #3 - New Frontier

The bad news is, our new website isn’t finished yet. But I’m still kicking off a weekly RECording entitled The REGULARITY to direct our collaborative creative process.

The good news is…

We’re going to SUNDANCE! Yes, hitRECord.org is playing Sundance 2010. We’re setting up a workshop at the New Frontier on Main Street. We’ll have cameras, microphones, computers, an internet connection. And you! We’ll be collaborating with the creative community of Park City next January. Come play!

Over the span of the 10 days of the festival, we will start and finish a complete work of art. A veritable Hit Record. Something we all make together: me, you, artists of Sundance and the entire hitRECord global online collective. And when we’re done, it screens.

I’ll repeat that. What we make together is going to screen at the Sundance Film Festival. Wanna be a part of it? You are.

The REGULARITY Is kicking off now-ish. And this is what we’re buckling down getting ready for. January 21-31 at one of the coolest, highest profile, and genuinely artful creative happenings in the USA.

Now let’s get to work…!

Producer Wyck Godfrey plays an instrumental role in bringing the film phenomenon that is the Twilight series to theaters. His background producing feature films that range from “Behind Enemy Lines” to “When a Stranger Calls” prepared him for overseeing production on this blockbuster franchise.

Two weeks before the highly anticipated release of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, Godfrey sat down with MakingOf to discuss working with director Chris Weitz and satisfying the film’s rabid fans.

In order to to stay true to the book, Godfrey explains that it was essential he work closely with author Stephanie Meyer, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and director Chris Weitz on the film adaptation.
